Check the width of the old gear!Dec 31, 2013

We ordered this kit to repair landing gear on a Fleetwood fifth-wheel. After receiving the kit we discovered the original gears were not the same height. The leg gear was .100 shorter than the motor shaft gear. We did not check this before we ordered. This kit will replace the motor shaft gear only, on our unit. Replacing both gears would move shaft hole locations out of sync. Unit was reinstalled and working fine, and, I now have a spare motor gear and a slightly worn leg gear!
I would recommend this product, with conditions.

This gear set is made by Atwood and looks identical to the original gears I replaced in my 33' 5th wheel.
Gear Kit better than StockApr 18, 2013

Good quality, especially useful brass to replace plastic sleeve. I had to straighten my unit off the 5th wheel to align the shaft but this resulted in a stronger set up.
